310 S Lake Ave, Ste B1, PasadenaHow retainers works here
Teeth that have just been moved tend to drift back toward where they started, which is why the end of braces or aligners is not quite the end of treatment. A custom retainer, made for your mouth, holds the teeth in their new position while the bone and gums around them settle. Skipping it is a common way for a straightened smile to slowly lose its alignment.
At Premier Care the team handles the fitting and shows you how to wear the retainer and keep it clean, so the months you put into treatment are protected. Retainers are listed alongside braces and aligners among the practice's orthodontic services. If yours cracks or stops fitting, call the office: damaged appliances are among the problems it treats as urgent, and urgent cases are prioritized.
